Flood Situation in Dooars, Dhupguri Block Highly Affected due to Hatinala Water Spate

Webdesk, TNI Dhupguri, 9th July, 2017: Due to heavy rains throughout last night, there is a flood like situation in Dooars. However, the district administration is continuously making efforts to normalize the situation. The main cause of this situation is the heavy rains in the hills leading to water spate in the plains especially Dooars Region.
The main spate occurred at Dhupguri block’ Hatinala Canal leading to water overflow in areas of Banarhat, Binnaguri. Dhupguri blocks, Sakoajhora No 2 Gram Panchayat is also affected especially areas of 15/214 and 15/216 No Booth. Here the water from Dudua River has caused the flood. Boats were put into action for transportation from the morning. The block administration has started works from the morning by arranging relief to the affected.
